Dr. Ken Morgen is a licensed
clinical psychologist, author, lecturer and personal and executive coach
practicing in Maryland for 28 years. In addition to a lifelong career
counseling individuals, families, couples and groups and consulting with
business executives, he writes and is quoted in the print and broadcast media
on various topics in psychology. He has been interviewed on
local and national radio and television talk shows including Hour
Magazine with Gary Collins and People Are Talking with Oprah
Winfrey and profiled in nationally syndicated newspaper columns. He has guest lectured for over twenty years at institutions of
higher learning around the country. His first book, GETTING SIMON, was published
in 1995.
Dr. Morgen holds a doctoral
degree in psychology from United States International University (1979)
and is licensed to practice psychology in Maryland. He is on the consulting staffs of
two major metropolitan hospitals. In addition, he has conducted and published
original research. He has testified as an expert witness on numerous
occasions before local and state legislative and judicial bodies in
matters pertaining to psychology. Dr. Morgen is a long-standing
member of the National
Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Dr. Morgen is a former gubernatorial appointee to a Special Governor's Commission to study discrimination and make recommendations to the Maryland legislature - recommendations which led to amending state law. Dr. Morgen served two terms as President of the Baltimore Psychological Association in 2005 and in 2006.
